Public Tezos data

Wallet profiles request public blockchain data from TzKT. Wallet addresses, balances, tokens, and operations are public by design. If you mint a link, its canonical music URL, provider, media kind, your optional note, and selected Music Passport jacket ID and asset references become public, permanent stamp metadata. The stamp does not store the music provider's fetched title, creator, artwork, audio, or player data. If you mint a badge, its callsign, seed, roll, route, palette, portrait reference, and public recipe URL become public, permanent metadata.

Spotlight artwork

The Spotlight minter prepares selected JPEG, PNG, or WebP files entirely in this browser. The original file is not sent to Passport. When you approve a no-fee wallet signature, Passport uploads a 1200-pixel WebP display and 480-pixel thumbnail to public, content-addressed object storage. If you mint, both public file links and their SHA-256 hashes, your title and alt text, the Midjourney disclosure, optional job link, optional model, optional prompt, and wallet address become permanent public Mainnet metadata. Leave the prompt blank if you do not want it published. Passport does not sign in to Midjourney, scrape your profile, or verify copyright; the minting wallet confirms it created the work and has permission to mint it.

Badge recipes

The badge lab saves the current recipe in this browser and places the recipe in the URL when you copy a share link. Do not use a password or secret as a seed. Portraits load from noun.pics, so that service can receive normal browser and network request information. Minting stores the normalized recipe and portrait reference—not the generated PNG bytes—on Tezos.

Music previews

Unfurling sends the canonical URL to Passport's preview service. That service may request public preview information from Spotify, SoundCloud, or YouTube. Apple Music players are prepared from the validated link, while TIDAL and other outbound-only links stay as cards without a provider metadata request. When a card scrolls into view, its public preview artwork may load from the linked service, which can receive normal browser and network request information. An official embedded player remains off until you choose “Load player.” Loading it lets that music service receive browser and network information and use cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Choosing an outbound card's open link takes you to its source to listen. To limit automated abuse, the preview service temporarily counts requests by IP address in memory for about one minute; it does not attach that address to an account or write it to a profile database.

Weather stamps

Weather search, current-condition, and 25-hour profile requests normally pass through the Passport relay to Open-Meteo. The search is manual; Tezos Passport does not request your device location. If that relay is unavailable, your browser requests the current conditions and profile directly from Open-Meteo using only the selected coordinates rounded to two decimals. In that fallback, Open-Meteo can receive your browser IP and normal request information under its own policies. To slow automated abuse, the relay temporarily counts requests by IP address in memory for about one minute; it does not write those addresses to an account or analytics database. If you mint a weather stamp, the selected place, coordinates rounded to two decimals, modeled conditions, timestamps, selected art world, remix deck and slot, background source, Noun ID, weather traits, and your wallet address become permanent public Mainnet metadata. A different deck or slot creates a distinct mint family and another set of network and storage fees. When the 25-hour profile is ready, the mint also includes its compact normalized Sky Signature weave and a SHA-256 digest of the ordered modeled inputs; this adds no extra NFT. Raw search text and unselected results are not included in the token. Individual correlation coefficients are short-window relationships among modeled values; they are not stored in the token, do not establish cause, and are not observed truth. The selected noun.pics portrait is requested while preparing the mint and packed into the token as inert artwork; noun.pics can receive normal network request information. Creating a personal weather contract and minting a weather token each transfer 0 ꜩ, but both still incur real tez network and storage fees. The result is a souvenir with no promised financial value and is not proof that the modeled weather occurred.

Wallet and device storage

Octez Connect may keep wallet-pairing information in this browser. Tezos Passport keeps local shortcuts to your personal link, badge, and weather collections and can rediscover those collections from public chain data on another device. Weather Remix also keeps up to 24 recent deck-and-slot selections, while the private Catchbook keeps up to 24 complete modeled catches, in this browser's storage. Those local records are not synced by Passport; a Catchbook JSON leaves the browser only when you choose to export it. It never asks for or stores your wallet seed phrase.
